Our Story
Where SAFE Came From
Originally SAFE was founded in Miami in 2012. The organization was born out of frustration with the status quo. Safety professionals, risk managers, insurance professionals, and construction leaders were doing meaningful, difficult work — but the associations available to them felt disconnected from the day-to-day realities of the field.
The founder of SAFE wanted something different: a place where professionals could speak candidly, share what was actually working, and build relationships with peers who understood the pressures they faced. No gatekeeping. No sales pitches. No cost to participate.
What once started as a local gathering of like-minded practitioners will grow again into a national network — and it will continue to grow because the need it fills is real. SAFE exists because the people who show up every month make it worth showing up for.
